Who
May Participate
The festival is open to elementary, middle school, junior and senior high
school men's, mixed, treble and women's choirs. Please, no show choirs.
Performance
Times
15-minute warm-up and 15-minute performance.
Each group should arrive at the park and register between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM only. Upon arrival, directors should
register at the registration table located near the front gate. Final
instructions and an escort will be assigned.
During the performance, each
group may perform two selections of contrasting style, an optional warm-up may be performed not to exceed three minutes in length.

Facilities
Performances will take place in the Showcase Theater.
Each ensemble will have a 15 minute warm-up in the Theater prior to their performance.

At this time*, the following adjudicators are scheduled for the 2010 Six Flags Music Festival.

Music
Requirements
Selections are at the discretion of the director. The ensemble director
will supply three sets of original scores for the adjudicated selections.
Accompaniment tapes are NOT permitted. Due to liability and insurance,
Six Flags cannot grant special requests for electrical and lighting needs
during performances.
Dress
There are no special dress requirements.
Each director must decide what is appropriate.
Dressing facilities are NOT available.

Equipment Provided
Equipment provided by Six Flags at the festival site:
- Microphone
- Piano
- Step choral risers
We ask that you use the equipment provided. Please do not bring any equipment you cannot carry. No setup crew will be provided. Judges tapes will be provided by Six Flags.
Awards
Each school will receive a participation award. The trophy, score sheets and adjudicator tapes will be given to each group immediately after their performance.
Festival
Fees
Student fees include adjudication fee and admission to the park. All tickets
must be purchased through the festival office.

We will provide one FREE chaperone ticket for every 10 tickets you purchase.
Refunds
and Cancellations
Upon receipt of written notification of cancellation by April 18, Six
Flags Music Festival will refund the cost of tickets purchased. After April
18, 2010 NO refunds will be made.

Once
You're at the Festival
Schedule
of the Day's Activities
Upon arrival, directors should proceed to Six Flags Music Festival registration
table located at the entrance to the park. Upon arrival, instructions
will be given and warm-up/performance times confirmed. Fifteen minutes
prior to warm-up, groups will meet their escort in front of the Showcase Theater. Groups will have 15 minutes to warm-up and 15 minutes to perform.
After performances, groups will be back into the park.
Remember: to have
three sets of original scores, (not photocopied scores) with measures
numbered consecutively. Music, tapes and adjudication forms will be available
immediately after your performance.

Step 1. Fill out the Registration
Form and return it along with a $55.00 registration fee. Enter
each group under your direction on a separate application. If other groups
from your school are attending, they must apply separately.

Step 2. Use the separate
Ticket Order Form that you will receive with your directors kit to mail
the balance of your payment before April 18, 2010 to ensure participation.
You will receive the performance schedule and additional information
after we receive final payment. Park tickets will be picked up at Registration the day of your event.
